Rabbit-safe branches and twigs

Illustrated Guide to Edibles:
Sources:

Branches both taste good and are a healthy way to wear down the rabbits teeth. But which branches are safe to give?

Here you´ll find an illustrated list of trees and bushes you may safely serve your rabbit(s), and it will hopefully make it easier for you to identify them outside.

It´s not always easy to seperate the different sorts and species from one another, therefore it is strongly recommended to click the on the titles to study the additional - an often much larger - photos you´ll find. If you are not really sure what species you have picked/found, keep away from giving it to your rabbit(s). Also keep in mind that trees and bushes planted in gardens etc often can be more or less toxic if ingested, and in addition avoid trees that may have been exposed to chemicals or pollution from busy roads. Steer clear of branches from trees with stone fruit - like cherry, plum, peach, apricot, etc.

We also recommend that you take a closer look at Medirabbits feeding information/food list, and additionaly their illustrated list of toxic plants.

It is also worth mentioning that leaf and twigs from the berrybushes blacberry and raspberry are safe to give although they are not included in this overview.
