Rabbit-safe fruits and berries

Illustrated Guide to Edibles:
Sources:

Fruit and berries are excellent rabbit candy - and often way healthier than the snacks you find in the pet shops.

Because of their high amounts of sugar, you should neverthless stick to a maximum of 1 tablespoon a day.

We also recommend that you take a closer look at MediRabbits foodlist.

It is also worth mentioning that leaf and twigs from the berrybushes redcurrant, blackcurrant, gooseberry, blacberry and raspberry are safe to give although they are not included in this overview.

Dried fruit (raisins, f.ex) and berries contain even more suger than the fresh ones, and should be given extremely seldom and in even smaller amounts. Lots of the dried variants found in grocery shops/supermarkets are even added extra suger to them to make them taste better and for conservation. Such products should not be given to rabbits at all.
